Matched worm shaft and worm wheel sets for any make of gearbox — phosphor bronze wheels, PB rim re-rimming, shafts, covers, and seal kits from the same shop that builds complete reducers.
Spares Capability
When a worm gearbox still has a sound housing but a worn mesh, Anand Gears manufactures a matched worm shaft + worm wheel set to sample or drawing — for our own NU, Adaptable, and NMRV families and for other industrial makes. Sets are supplied as pairs so contact pattern and running-in stay controlled. This service sits alongside full replacement and repair when the housing is not salvageable.
Matched Sets
Steel worms thread-milled and finished to the lead, starts, and journal steps of your sample or drawing — the same process used on Anand Gears catalogue cast iron worm reducers (50–305CD class sizes on the standard line).
Solid phosphor bronze wheels or a PB rim on a cast iron / steel centre — the wear-facing material industry expects on industrial worm meshes. Hobbed to match the new worm as a set.
When the wheel centre is still true, we can re-rim with new phosphor bronze, machine, and re-cut teeth — often more economical than a full solid wheel where the hub geometry is complex.
Centre distance, tooth count, shaft steps, and bore sizes taken from your unit. No need for the original brand name — only the mechanical interface in millimetres.
Spare shafts turned and keywayed to match the existing coupling or hollow-bore stack — solid or hollow, single or double output ends.
Bearing covers, end caps, and oil seal kits so a rebuild closes correctly after the new mesh is fitted — discuss sizes with the set RFQ.
How to Order

FAQ
Worm and wheel develop a contact pattern together. Mixing a new wheel with a worn worm (or the reverse) often causes rapid wear. Anand Gears supplies matched pairs cut and finished to run together.
Yes. Where the cast iron or steel centre is sound, a new phosphor bronze rim can be cast and machined onto the existing centre, then hobbed to match the mating worm.
No. A sample set, measured dimensions in millimetres, or a drawing is enough. Brand names do not drive the manufacturing drawing.
