Our Extruder Gearbox Solutions

Three series covering single-screw, high-temperature, and synchronized twin-screw extrusion duty.

Standard Extruder Series

The workhorse for single-screw plastics extrusion. Hardened and ground helical gearing with a reinforced thrust bearing housing that absorbs screw back-pressure directly, protecting the motor and coupling.

Power Range 5.5–55 kW
Gear Ratios 3.5:1 to 50:1
Duty Continuous (S1)

High-Temperature Series

For rubber extrusion and hot-melt processes where ambient and process heat push standard lubricants past their limits. Enhanced cooling provisions and thermally stable lubricants extend service intervals.

Power Range 7.5–45 kW
Temperature -5°C to +110°C
Cooling Enhanced provisions

Dual-Motor Series

Twin-screw ready drives with synchronized dual inputs, load-sharing capability, and precision phase locking for intermeshing screw geometries in compounding and specialty extrusion.

Power Range 11–75 kW
Configuration Synchronized twin input
Best For Twin-screw & compounding lines

Series Power Range (kW) Duty Rating Gear Ratios Axial Thrust Capacity Temperature Range
Standard Extruder 5.5–55 Continuous (S1) 3.5:1–50:1 High -10°C to +90°C
High-Temperature 7.5–45 Continuous (S1) 4:1–40:1 Very High -5°C to +110°C
Dual-Motor 11–75 Continuous (S1) 5:1–50:1 High -10°C to +100°C

Why Axial Thrust Matters

An extruder screw pushes molten material forward — and pushes itself backward with equal force, directly into the gearbox output shaft. A standard industrial gearbox is not designed to absorb this sustained axial load. Anand Gears extruder gearboxes carry the thrust on dedicated, oversized thrust bearings inside a reinforced housing, so gear mesh alignment and bearing life are unaffected even at full back-pressure. This is the single most important difference between an extruder-duty gearbox and a general-purpose unit.

Industry Solutions

Primary Applications

Proven across film, sheet, profile, and rubber extrusion lines.

Blown Film Extrusion

Production of thin-wall plastic films with precise speed control and axial load handling for stable bubble formation. Consistent screw speed keeps film gauge uniform across long runs.

Cast Film & Sheet

Flat film and sheet production requiring consistent melt delivery and stable screw drive torque — pinhole-free output starts with a steady drive.

Profile Extrusion

Plastic profiles, tubing, and specialty shapes benefit from gearbox precision and load capacity. Dimensional accuracy of the profile depends on unwavering screw RPM.

Rubber Hose & Seals

High-temperature rubber extrusion for industrial hoses and sealing products — the High-Temperature Series handles sustained process heat without lubricant breakdown.

Twin-Screw Extrusion

Dual-motor synchronized systems for intermeshing twin-screw and multi-screw extrusion configurations, with precision phase locking to protect screw flights.

Compounding Lines

Material blending and compounding operations requiring precise control and extended service intervals under continuous mixing loads.

The Anand Gears Advantage

Why Choose Anand Gears?

Purpose-Built Design

Extruder gearboxes engineered specifically for extrusion duty — not adapted from standard industrial gearboxes. Reinforced thrust paths, S1 duty, and thermal headroom are designed in from the start.

24/7 Production Ready

Continuous (S1) duty rating with hardened gears and precision bearings delivering extended maintenance intervals across round-the-clock production schedules.

Technical Support

Dedicated support for sizing, installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation — share your material, throughput, and screw details and we do the drive engineering.
