Delta ASDA servo sets — supplied alone, or as inertia-matched servo + reducer packages sized by the people who build the reducer.
Precision Motion
Most servo axes fail their tuning not because the drive is wrong, but because the reflected inertia is. A reducer divides load inertia by the ratio squared — the single most powerful lever for making a small servo control a heavy mechanism. As a gearbox manufacturer, we size the planetary reducer (or a self-locking worm reducer where the load must hold at rest), the servo motor, and the drive as one package.
The platforms we commonly arrange are Delta's ASDA-B2 (general purpose), ASDA-A2 (advanced motion: e-cam, gantry, full-closed loop), and the current-generation ASDA-E3 — typically as 230 V class drive + motor sets.
Engineering Data
| Platform | Positioning Features | Command Interface | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASDA-B2 | Point-to-point positioning, internal registers | Pulse train, analog, Modbus | Feeders, indexers, simple axes |
| ASDA-A2 | Electronic cam, capture/compare, gantry sync, full-closed loop | Pulse, analog, CANopen options | Flying cut, rotary knife, synchronized axes |
| ASDA-E3 | Current-generation platform, high-speed fieldbus options | Confirm interface per datasheet | New machine designs |
230 V class drive + motor sets are the common supply; frame sizes, feedback resolution, and fieldbus variants are confirmed against the Delta datasheet at quotation.

The Anand Gears Advantage
We choose the planetary ratio so the reflected load inertia lands in the platform's stable band — the difference between an axis that tunes in minutes and one that hunts forever.
Vertical or gravity-loaded axes can use a self-locking worm stage so the load parks safely without relying on the motor brake alone.
Need coordinated axes? We pair the servos with Delta DVP motion CPUs and build the whole thing into a tested panel.
Industry Solutions
Rotary index with repeatable stop positions — servo + planetary reducer keeps the table stiff and the settle time short.
ASDA-A2 e-cam profiles synchronize the knife to line speed on cut-to-length and packaging machines.
Point-to-point moves with controlled acceleration — ASDA-B2 class sets cover most feeder and loader axes.
Gravity axes with brake + self-locking worm stage for safe parking — sized so regen and holding both check out.
Capture/compare and cam correction hold print-to-mark registration on high-speed webs.
Replacing worn mechanical cams and clutch-brake units with servo axes — mechanical and electrical scope handled by one vendor.
Common Questions
Delta ASDA servo drive and motor sets: ASDA-B2 for general-purpose positioning via pulse/analog commands, ASDA-A2 for advanced applications (electronic cam, gantry, full-closed-loop control), and the current-generation ASDA-E3 platform. 230 V class sets are the common stock; higher frames and fieldbus variants are confirmed per datasheet.
Because most servo axes need a reducer — and sizing it wrong ruins the axis. A reducer multiplies torque and, critically, divides reflected load inertia by the ratio squared, which is what makes a small servo control a heavy table. We size the planetary or worm reducer, the servo motor, and the drive together, so the inertia ratio lands in the stable band and the axis tunes cleanly.
ASDA-B2 is the general-purpose platform: pulse-train and analog command, reliable point-to-point positioning for feeders, indexers, and simple axes. ASDA-A2 adds advanced motion features — electronic cam profiles, capture/compare, gantry synchronization, and full-closed-loop control with an external linear scale. If the axis just needs to go to position, B2; if it needs to follow a profile or synchronize, A2 or the newer E3.
Yes — that is our preferred way to quote. Tell us the load (mass, radius or lead, friction), the move profile (distance, time, dwell), and the accuracy target. We come back with the servo set plus an inertia-matched planetary reducer, or a worm reducer where self-locking at rest is wanted, as one tested package.
