Light aluminium worm reducers with servo-ready flanges and custom output bores — built for packaging, indexing, and automation lines.
Automation & Packaging
Packaging and automation OEMs rarely use a catalogue flange as-is. Anand Gears machines aluminium ALM / NMRV-class worm gearboxes with servo-specific input flanges (including square flange patterns), custom output bores, hollow inputs, and optional no-fan housings for tight enclosures.
Why Aluminium Here
Servo packaging axes run intermittent or short-cycle duty with frequent starts. Mass on the driven axis matters for settling time. Aluminium housings cut weight versus cast iron, while still delivering worm self-locking at higher ratios when the axis must hold position. For continuous heavy thermal loads, we still recommend cast iron — see our buyer guide on aluminium vs cast iron.

FAQ
Yes. Provide the flange drawing with pilot diameter, bolt PCD, and thread size in millimetres. We machine the aluminium input adapter or housing face to that pattern.
Many indexing axes use around 10:1. Other ratios from the 5:1–100:1 worm range are available; higher ratios improve self-locking if the axis must hold without a brake.
Yes. Hollow input aluminium boxes are a standing special configuration for compact motor–gearbox stacks.
