Aluminium Die-Cast

Lightweight Worm Reducers with Universal Mounting

Anand Gears NMRV worm reducers pack worm-gear reliability into a compact, lightweight aluminium die-cast housing. Ten sizes from NMRV 025 to NMRV 150 cover power ratings up to 18.5 kW and output torque to 1550 Nm, with single-stage ratios from 5:1 to 100:1 — and double-stage NMRV+NMRV combinations reaching 3600:1. The universal housing mounts in any orientation via foot, flange, torque arm, or direct shaft-mount, and the oil-filled design runs maintenance-free. Powder-coated aluminium offers weight savings and corrosion resistance that suit outdoor and food-industry installations.

NMRV Construction & Materials

Every NMRV reducer combines a precision-ground worm mesh with a sealed, powder-coated aluminium housing.

Housing

Aluminium alloy die-cast housing, powder coated for corrosion resistance. Light enough for direct machine mounting without heavy support brackets, with fins that dissipate heat efficiently.

Material Aluminium alloy die-cast
Finish Powder coated
Protection IP55 (IP65 on request)

Worm & Gear Set

Case-hardened 20CrMnTi worm shaft ground to accuracy class 6, meshing with a tin bronze ZCuSn10Pb1 worm gear for smooth, quiet running and long service life.

Worm 20CrMnTi, case-hardened, ground class 6
Gear Tin bronze ZCuSn10Pb1
Lubrication Oil-filled, maintenance-free

Mounting & Output

One universal housing covers every orientation — foot, flange, torque arm, or shaft-mount — with hollow output bores from 20 mm to 50 mm or solid output shafts from 11 mm to 50 mm.

Extended Ratios with Double-Stage Combinations

Where a single NMRV stage cannot reach the required output speed, two units combine as an NMRV+NMRV double-stage set for total ratios up to 3600:1 — ideal for slow-turning agitators, dosing systems, and indexing drives. Torque values in the table apply at 1440 rpm nominal / 1400 rpm input with service factor 1.0; contact our engineering team for selection at other speeds and duty cycles.

Industry Solutions

NMRV Reducer Applications

Compact, universally mountable drives for light and medium-duty machinery across industries.

Packaging & Automation

Film advance drives, indexing conveyors, labellers, and case packers. The compact NMRV footprint fits inside machine frames, and the universal mounting simplifies drive layout on multi-axis packaging lines.

Conveyor Drives

Belt and roller conveyors in light and medium duty. Hollow-bore shaft mounting lets the reducer hang directly on the drive shaft with a torque arm — no couplings, no base plate, minimal installation time.

Food & Beverage Machinery

Fillers, mixers, and process equipment where the powder-coated aluminium housing resists corrosion in humid washdown-adjacent environments and keeps drive weight low on stainless frames.

Agitators & Dosing

Slow-speed stirrers, chemical dosing systems, and small mixers. Double-stage NMRV+NMRV combinations deliver very high ratios for precise, slow output speeds from standard 1440 rpm motors.

Material Handling

Turntables, small hoists, and gate drives. Self-locking worm behaviour at higher ratios holds position when power is removed, and the sealed IP55 housing shrugs off dust in warehouse environments.

OEM Machine Building

Textile machines, printing equipment, and special-purpose machinery. Standard IEC motor input flanges and ten interchangeable sizes make the NMRV series a drop-in drive module for OEM designs.

Drives & Controls

Complete the Drive Chain

An NMRV reducer rarely works alone. We supply the motor, the VFD, and the starter or control panel — sized together with the reducer so nothing is over- or under-specified.
